Quick answers to common setup, runtime, and safety questions.
Official setup guides: TopstepX API Access | TopstepX Auto-OCO Brackets
You need an active TopstepX / ProjectX API subscription, Auto-OCO Brackets enabled in TopstepX, and a supported account type (Combines or XFA).
In TopstepX go to Settings > API tab > Link (ProjectX Linking). In the ProjectX dashboard, open Subscriptions and purchase ProjectX API Access. Then return to TopstepX Settings > API, create your API key, and copy it into Revenge Trade.
In TopstepX go to Settings > Risk Settings, then switch to Auto-OCO Brackets. If you place orders from DOM, ensure OCO is enabled in DOM too. You must be flat with no open positions/working orders to switch bracket mode.
Yes, strongly recommended. Platform-level TopstepX risk settings act as a second line of safety in case of strategy misconfiguration, API issues, or unexpected market behavior.
Revenge Trade currently supports Combines and XFAs only.
Revenge Trade connects to your TopstepX account, runs your selected strategy logic, and executes orders through the worker runtime.
Connect TopstepX credentials, choose your strategy preset, confirm settings, and press Start Bot from the dashboard.
Use the Recent Activity section in the dashboard for trades, orders, and bot event logs.

Session Stats track trades and PnL since your most recent Start Bot action.

Lockout is a safety block that prevents starting or placing new trades until you disable it.
Yes. Credentials are encrypted at rest and decrypted server-side only when needed for broker operations.
No. You are responsible for account outcomes. Revenge Trade is not responsible for loss of capital or account issues caused by bot failure, broker/API outages, configuration mistakes, market events, or failure to follow instructions.
